H2O: The answer to Good Health

All living things need water to survive, and your kitty is no different. A 10 pound cat needs about one cup of water each day. If he’s healthy and has easy access to plenty of clean water, he’ll get that amount without any coaxing from you. Here are some tips to ensure your kitty is never left high and dry:

*Clean the water bowl daily. Microscopic bacteria can give the water a funny taste that might discourage drinking. Some bacteria can make animals sick.
*Buy a bowl with a wide top and a wide, weighted bottom that will keep your kitty from knocking it over.
*Keep the lid of your toilet closed so kitty doesn’t drink from it. Bacteria or cleaning agents in the toilet water can make him ill. Also, you don’t want your favorite pal falling in while drinking.

Remember, water makes up the majority of the body’s structure. A clean bowl and fresh water are essential to your kitty’s diet and health.
